What Tickwork does
Tickwork builds, tests, hosts and maintains software that automates trading rules supplied by the client, or developed with and approved by the client. We do not provide investment advice, research, tips or trading signals, and we do not sell or recommend strategies.
When we develop a strategy from a client’s idea, we test the versions the client agrees to and report the results. The client chooses the final rules, and the decision to trade them is the client’s.
Tickwork is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst.
Your responsibilities
The trading strategy and every trading decision are yours. You are responsible for:
- the rules you ask us to automate, and for confirming them in writing
- deciding when the algo goes live, at what size, and when it stops
- your broker account, your capital and any losses
- meeting your broker’s and the exchange’s rules that apply to you
- keeping your broker login details and two-factor codes safe
Scope, price and support
The work for each client, its price, its tentative timeline and the support included are set out in a written quote that you accept before the work starts. Changes outside that scope are quoted separately.
No guarantee of results
Trading in derivatives involves risk of loss. Backtests and paper trading show how rules behaved in the past or in simulation; they do not guarantee future results. Software, brokers, exchanges, data feeds and internet connections can fail or be delayed. See the risk disclosure.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tickwork is not liable for trading losses, missed trades, or losses caused by brokers, exchanges, data providers or network failures. Any liability we do have is limited to the fees you paid us for the service concerned.
Confidentiality
We keep your strategy confidential and use it only to provide our services to you. On request, we sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you share it.
